Should We Be Good at School?

Seth Godin's book, Linchpin: Are you Indispensable, had a segment in it that caught Tony Baldasaro's eye. He says, "The essential thing measured by school is whether or not you are good at school." Tony makes a good point by adding "Being good at school is a fine skill if you intend to do school forever." This such a good thought. Some people get crazy about worrying about getting good grades, although do you really need to be good at school in order to be a good worker? Once we get out of school, our “school” will really be working. I may not get the best grades, but I know that i am a good worker. For some people, it’s going to take a lot for them to think this way because they are so used to the school system that we’ve been living with for centuries.
